Elspeth Hans was an IILJ Scholar from 2010-2013. After receiving her J.D. from NYU Law cum laude, she went on to clerk for Associate Justice Jaynee LaVecchia in the Supreme Court of New Jersey. She is currently a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, representing the NJ Department of Environmental Protection. She has prior experience working as a Program Officer at Management Sciences for Health, and as a Summer Law Clerk at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and at the U.S. Department of Justice (Environment and Natural Resources Division).
