NYU Law School recently participated in the East Coast Regional rounds of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court competition, held in New Orleans. This year, a total of fourty-eight law schools competed in the East Coast Regionals. NYU Law is a semi-finalist in the oral rounds, and ranked 4th place overall.
The team is composed of Isabel Paolini (JD ’25, IILJ Scholar), Bhavini Kakani (JD ’24, IILJ Scholar), Aidan McGirr (JD ’25, IILJ Scholar), Beth Kelley (JD ’24), and Gordon Ahl (JD ’25). The team is coached this year by Joyce De Coninck (Adjunct Professor of Law at NYU), Daniel Rosenberg (JD ’23) and Yirong Sun (LLM ’22, IILJ Fellow). They collected several additional awards along the way, including the award for best memorials. Beth Kelley ranked in the top 10 oralists. We’re very impressed with their accomplishments!
The NYU team will now advance to the International Rounds sponsored by White & Case in Washington DC during the first week of April, where more than 150 teams from all over the world will fiercely compete to bring the 2024 Jessup Cup home.
