The MegaReg project hosted a workshop on Mega-Regionalism after TPP at NYU Law. The focus of the workshop was on the US politics dimension of TPP and how it relates to the implicit ambitions of the agreement, its future prospects, and other ordering projects in global economic governance and regulation. Economic globalization and the institutions of its governance are running into headwinds in the US, in Europe, and some other polities, with the winners and losers it creates very much a focus of the debate. This makes it an important time to study the TPP as a project of ordering, its domestic sources of opposition, and its potential repercussions for third parties. The agenda of the event can be found here.
