Navya Dasari graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019 with a B.A. in Health and Societies and a concentration in Global Health. During college, she served as the Global Campaign Lead for Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) North America, driving campaigns on clinical trial transparency and international priority-setting for biomedical R&D. She was the head of UAEM’s delegation to the World Health Assembly, where she addressed the United Nations on access to medicines issues. While at Penn Navya also researched humanitarian intervention as a Perry World House Student Fellow, and interned in the U.S. Office of Global Health Diplomacy. After college, Navya joined the Policy Advocacy department of the Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative in Geneva, where she led consultations with the World Health Organization, European Union, and national health ministries on open science and access-oriented licensing. She later served as a project manager for the Free The Vaccine campaign, which advocates for COVID-19 vaccines to be available and affordable to all. At NYU, Navya is a Furman Public Policy Scholar. She is interested in the intersection of health and technology, innovation policy, and global human rights.
